Mexican Telenovelas have been pivotal in the genre but in the last ten years, Telenovela fans have been able to enjoy a diversity by watching productions from other countries such as The Philippines and Turkey. The Girl Named Feriha
The Girl Named Feriha is a Turkish telenovela from 2011 staring Hazal Kaya and Cagatay Ulusoy. The story tells the story of a poor janitor's daughter who ends up falling in love with a young rich man called Emir. The telenovela is an insight into of Turkey's class separation system.
 Doble Kara
Doble Kara is a 2011 Philippines Drama starring Julia Montes in a dual role. She plays twins Kara and Sara who are separated as young girls but eventually reunite when they are older. The telenovela highlights Filipino family values as the main theme and marks Julia Montes as one of the Philippines' most talented actors.
Passion and Power
Passion and Power is 2015 Mexican drama starring Fernando Colunga, Susana Gonzalez and Jorge Salinas. The veteran actors teamed up for this production with an ensemble cast from Televisa, telling a thrilling story about two opposing families who become rivals in the game of love and power.
