Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), marking the fifth installment in the franchise. The e cast includes returning actors from Afterlife.Set three years after Afterlife and 35 years since the events of the first film, this movie follows the veteran Ghostbusters teaming up with new recruits to save New York City from an evil force aiming to assemble an army of harmful spirits. In this sequel, the Spengler family and their friends relocate to New York City to revive the Ghostbusters. They face opposition from Mayor Walter Peck while investigating a series of supernatural incidents. Phoebe, one of the Spenglers, forms an unexpected bond with the ghost of a deceased chess prodigy named Melody.
