Nick Mutuma's Past Sexual Assault Claims Resurface
Allegations of sexual harassment against Nick Mutuma have resurfaced following the success of his Netflix films, Sincerely Daisy and Disconnect. In 2017, two women alleged that Mutuma sexually harassed them the previous year.One Koome Gitobu accused the actor of assaulting his girlfriend, Rachel Mwangi, at Ameru Festival. In a series of tweets then, Gitobu claimed that Nick Mutuma attempted to drag Mwangi into his room as she was leaving the venue, when friends rescued her. Mutuma denied the story, adding that he was "extremely distressed that I'm being linked to this". He further sought audience with "@koomegitobu and his gf directly". "We spoke on phone yesterday. He maintains that he's shocked anyone is accusing him of hurting a woman. He said he cant remember the events of that night, but still denies ever touching or talking to my gf", tweeted Koome the following day.No word was heard since, until the release of his films on Netflix about a fortnight ago, when fans took to social media last weekend calling for a boycott of his work. Mutuma was yet to issue a response at the time of publishing.I entirely deny the story that is currently circulating about me. I'm extremely distressed that I'm being linked to this. I am passionate about creating an environment where women feel - and are - safe and respected. I would like to speak to @koomegitobu and his gf directly.

Wabosha, Chimano Nominated for Couture Africa Style Awards
The nominees for the 2020 Couture Africa Style Awards have been announced. Among the nominated include Willis Chimano, who received a nod as the Most Stylish Male Entertainer. The Sauti Sol band member will be going head to head with rappers Khaligraph Jones and King Kaka, singers Willy Paul and Otile Brown, and actor Lenana Kariba.YouTuber Maxine Wabosha will be facing off with Farhana Oberson, Maureen Waititu and Joy Kendi among others for the Most Stylish Female Content Creator category. 'The Empty Man' Trailer Released
20th Century Studios has released the new trailer for upcoming flick, "The Empty Man". Directed by David Prior, the horror movie, based on a popular series of Boom! Studios graphic novels, follows an ex-cop on the trail of a missing girl, who comes across a secretive group attempting to summon a terrifying supernatural entity.The official synopsis reads: After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man.
