Naomi Campbell Appointed Magical Kenya's Ambassador
British supermodel Naomi Campbell has been appointed Magical Kenya's International brand ambassador. "We welcome the exciting news that Naomi Campbell will advocate for tourism and travel internationally for the Magical Kenya Brand," announced Najib Balala, CS Tourism on Tuesday.The 50-year-old, who boasts over 13 million followers across her social media channels, expressed her gratitude on the new appointment while lauding the development of infrastructure at the Coast. "I am also impressed with the world-class standard facilities at the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Baobab course located in Vipingo Ridge, the only golf course credited by the PGA in the whole of Africa. I invite gold professionals globally to visit the course to enjoy the experience," she said. Details on the nitty grittys of the contract are yet to be disclosed.However, a section of netizens was not impressed with the appointment. Kenyan Creatives Members of YouTube Black Voices, Class of 2021
YouTube has announced its first round of winners for YouTube Black Voices, Class of 2021. 132 creators and artists from different parts of Africa, including Kenya, will receive a $100 million share in seed funding from the YouTube Black Voices Fund. Channel development, partner support, workshops, training and networking programs are among incentives that Kenyan YouTubers Patricia Kihoro, James Mumo, Kaluhi Adagala of Kaluhi's Kitchen, and Mitchelle Adagala will receive.YouTube notes that YouTube Black Voices, Class of 2021 is "part of the comprehensive work currently underway to make YouTube a place where Black artists, creators and users can share their stories and be protected". "The #YouTubeBlack community is filled with so many passionate, talented, brilliant, and driven creatives.
