#GivingTuesday is a globally celebrated day of philanthropy. Launched in 2012, the day promotes charitable acts of giving, whether that's donating your time or your money to good causes.  You might have missed out on participating a few days ago but plenty of charities are accepting donations to their causes all year round and especially during the holidays. Tis the season to share!
Here are some organizations to consider supporting:
Faraja Cancer Support Trust
The Faraja Cancer Support Trust was founded in 2010 with the aim of providing emotional, practical and healing support to anyone affected by cancer. Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, they have organized and hosted 115 group sessions and touched the lives of more than 1574 patients and caregivers.
Since January, they have received 151 applications and are currently supporting 107. Out of the 107, 20 are children below the age of 12. The total value of support given so far stands at  Kshs 10,547,730.
Please consider donating to Faraja Cancer Support Trust through MPESA Paybill number 891300 Account Name GG20120. You can also donate safely via credit card by clicking below

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is an important "not-for-profit" wildlife conservancy in the Laikipia District of Kenya and the largest sanctuary for black rhinos in East Africa. Tourism helps to sustain conservancy efforts by Ol Pejeta but the pandemic has greatly affected their revenue.  Support their efforts by donating here.
Naivasha Children's Shelter
Naivasha Children's Shelter is a rehabilitation home for former street children and their mission is to reunite children with their families. This year, they have been able to rescue 70 children from the streets, reunite 40 children (and counting) with their families, provide skills training to 12 older children who were not prepared to return to school, and provide monthly food aid to 24 families affected by the pandemic.
Please support their Christmas drive here.
