Gone are the days when artists would compose songs that would make you feel warm in the inside. Thank goodness for YouTube, we can now access all those good old tunes that will ease up our cold breezy day and have us reminiscing of the good old days when life was simple. Majority of these artists have definitely left their footprints in the sands of time:

  1. Craig David- Rendezvous

The British singer/songwriter was a major hitmaker back in the nineties and was well-known for his amazing love songs. This one being an all-time favourite for many:

  1. Fat Joe ft. Ashanti- What’s Luv

The melanin queen was a hit back in the day and made collaborations with hit artists of the time like Ja Rule and Fat Joe. She went silent over the years and has recently released a song with Ty Dolla Sign:

  1. Jagged Edge- Promise

This boy band also had a way of warming any girl’s heart with their captivating lyrics and angelic voices:

  1. Keyshia Cole Feat Monica – Trust

The reality TV star, Keyshia Cole, had her moments of fame back when she used to sing those deep love songs and of course this one fits just perfectly into that category:

  1. Celine Dion- that’s the Way it is

Is it only me who gets chills as soon as Celine Dion lets those vocals loose? Her songs are perfect for those days you’re feeling under the water or when life just seems to be going downhill. If today is one of those days, turn up the volume to this song right here:

Till this date, it amazes me how Kirk Franklin produces the most amazing songs without actively taking part in singing them, it’s like everything he touches is golden! This is yet another encouraging song for all those out there who’s Thursday isn’t going as they expected- chin up chap!

Stuck in a relationship that doesn’t set your soul on fire? Look no further for a source of inspiration to run back to you one true love than this song right here by songstress Mariah:

Do your best not to get depressed with today’s song selection, they just perfectly fit the soul theme. Whenever you think of Toni Braxton, this is bound to be the first song that pops into your head:

A legend whose time came too soon. Her vocals are still appreciated by artists of today and for good reason. This has to be the song that perfectly shows her vocal capabilities, especially throughout the bridge:

Usher is still making major moves in the industry which is really impressive. The song which featured his then girlfriend, Chilli from TLC is one for the books:
