Top African artists are set to headline the second edition of the "We are one Africa" virtual concert series this weekend. The event's second edition will be streaming live this Saturday at 10.00pm East African Time via its major social platforms.
Kenya's Nyashinski, Uganda's Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone, and Tanzania's Gnako will headline alongside Sheeba and Vinka (Uganda), Gilad and Webi (Kenya), and Lij Micheal from Ethiopia among other surprise acts.
The recurring virtual concerts are curated in partnership with AMREF Health Africa and NRG Radio, for the sole purposes of fighting COVID-19 as a continent through entertainment. Themed "Inspiring Action", the campaign seeks to inspire audiences to support the front liners and the vulnerable communities. 100% of all proceeds from the event will be directed to the AMREF Health Africa Crisis Response Fund.
Last week's edition saw performances from Khaligraph Jones, Gilad and Bien from Sauti Sol representing Kenya, Alikiba, Queen Darlene, Lulu and Frankie from Tanzania, Betty G from Ethiopia, Joeboy and Burna Boy hailing all from Nigeria, with Vinka and Jose Chameleon representing Uganda.
