ChemiChemi Players announced their latest stage production 'Voices of the Bible: Kings Edition' is coming to audiences in Nairobi starting this July 15th and will run till the 24th of July, 2022. The state-of-the-art live experience production will use theatrical wonders to take audiences inside the story of the legendary figures in the bible. The predominant interest is in the work of kings, including political, military, economic, and religious aspects. Governing, in the form of "having dominion", is one of the tasks God gave human beings at the very beginning (Genesis 1:28), and leadership, or governance, issues take center stage in the books of Samuel, Kings and, Chronicles. How should people be governed, by whom, and for what purposes? When nations are governed well, people thrive. When good governance is violated, everyone suffers. Voices of the Bible: Kings and Leaders Edition builds on the success of our premiere production, Spread Your Garment Over Me, taking into consideration the election season that Kenya is in. Using a variety of comic and dramatic monologues and scenes, the play provides a unique perspective on good and bad leaders alike and provokes much thought about the dimensions of leadership.
