After staying home for nearly a year due to the pandemic, millions of children across Kenya are now returning to classrooms. Kids have to adapt to new schedules, keep up with the curriculum and some are dealing with immense loss. And for parents, that means helping kids adjust (again) to another "new normal".
If you notice your kid(s) are stressed out, consider talking to Mind Ninjas to help them decompress. According to their Facebook Page description, their dream is for every child to be their best self. Their goal is to cultivate a growth mindset and 'can-do attitude' by sharing tools and techniques that nurture children to have a positive, balanced, and resilient approach to the journey of life.
Each Mind Ninja kid is equipped with the tools to express their feelings to others. Here's how:
  • They use 'I feel' statements.
  •  They encourage kids to express themselves through 'I feel <insert emotion> when <insert explanation>.' For example, 'I feel sad when mummy leaves to go to work' or 'I feel angry when I have to share my toys.'
  • In these examples, the child has identified the feeling and the source of the feeling.
According to the child psychology experts at Mind Ninjas, these tools for self expression will empower our children to speak up and share how they are feeling.
Mind Ninjas promises a transformation of your child under their mentorship. They are currently taking in teens and tweens. Here's what to expect:
