Shazam!, the DC Extended Universe's seventh installment, centers around Billy Batson, a 14-year old orphan who's been moving foster homes for the better part of his life. At his seventh home, Billy moves in with the Vazquez family where he meets Freddy Freeman, one of his four foster brothers.One day, Billy gets on a subway and is transported into a whole new dimension where a wizard chooses him as a 'Champion of Eternity' giving him power to transform into an adult superhero if he says the word 'Shazam!'. Both Freddy and Billy intend to discover which powers he possess while stopping crime in their neighborhood and the main villain, Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.Both Asher Angel and Zachary Levi are set to co-star in the action film with supporting roles from Jack Dylan Grazer and Mark Strong.The film hits theatres on April 5 with a runtime of 2 hours and 12minutes.
