What: KenyaBuzz is looking for an intern to become part of our Editorial Team.
Job Description:
- Participate as a full member of the editorial team at KenyaBuzz, contributing to content strategy and direction.
- Contribute a minimum of 15 articles per week to KenyaBuzz. These articles will include but not be limited to the following: previews, reviews, event coverage, interviews, quizzes and other lifestyle content as assigned.
- Contribute articles for our monthly newspaper.
- Edit articles/press releases written by others.
- Be responsible for uploading articles to standard perfection on the Kenyabuzz website (including selecting stock photos as needed).
- Strive to ensure that articles are widely shared on social media platforms.
- Be available to attend events and press conferences when required on any day of the week (including weekends) and outside of office hours.
- Experiment with different forms of content other than writing. Including photography, audio/podcasts and video, social media.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Windows, Word, Outlook, Wordpress.
- Familiarity with events and entertainment scene in Kenya.
- Sociable, outgoing personality.
- Good at research.
- Interviewing Skills.
- A self starter, needs minimal supervision and great at lifestyle content.
