I&M Bank's Rotary Club of Nairobi iMara (IF) Holds its first Charter Ceremony

From promoting literacy and fostering peace to addressing water scarcity and healthcare, Rotary continues to make a profound impact on the world.

I&M Bank's Rotary Club of Nairobi iMara (IF) held its charter ceremony and installation of the 2023-2024 president -Bilal Jamil and board on Saturday, July 29, 2023 during a dinner at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi.

The dinner was attended by over 100 guests, including representatives from Rotary Clubs across Kenya.

The ceremony was officiated by District Governor Representative (DGSR) Leonard Ithau special representative for Rotary International District 9212 which covers Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Eritrea. He spoke about the importance of community service and the role that Rotary Clubs play in making a difference in the world.

The club's President, Bilal Jamil is a Branch Manager at I&M Bank, Kenyatta Avenue and a longstanding member of the bank's fraternity.

Mr. Bilal Jamil is a successful businessman who is passionate about community service. He will offer leadership as charter President of RC of Nairobi iMara with an initial membership of I&M banks staff He will serve on the board of the I&M Bank's Imara Rotary Club for a year and is excited to take on the role of president.

Rotarian Joe Wainaina told KenyaBuzz that iMara club hopes to expand in 2023 and will be looking for new members who are passionate about community service and making a difference in Kenya.
