2018 is lining up to be a blockbuster year for movies. There's an awful lot to look forward to. Here, we take a look ahead at our 10 most eagerly anticipated new movies set to hit screens in Kenyan cinemas this year.
  1. Avengers: Infinity War
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building up to this explosive mega team-up of all their big screen heroes who we've loved and rooted for in the past 10 years since the first Iron Man movie. The Avengers, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Black Panther and Spider-Man come together to fight one common and all-powerful enemy - Thanos.

  1. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
We journey back into the most amazing and dangerous cinematic theme park ever created. This is the anticipated sequel to 2015's spectacular Jurassic World which at $1.6 billion, became the fourth highest grossing movie of all time. To get you more excited, Jeff Goldblum will be reprising his iconic role as Dr. Ian Malcolm from the original Jurassic Park.

  1. Black Panther
A Marvel Comics superhero, Black Panther (T'Challa), after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to take his rightful place as king. Between starring an African superhero and Lupita Nyong'o, this is the most-anticipated film of 2018 in Kenya.

  1. Solo: A Star Wars Story
Set prior to the events of the original 1977 film, this movie will highlight Han Solo and Chewbacca's adventures before joining the Rebellion, including their early encounters with Lando Calrissian.

  1. Deadpool 2
Wade must battle ninjas, tight-assed metal men, and babysit a group stereotypical side characters as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and creative outlets for his very open-minded sex life.

  1. M:I 6 - Mission Impossible
The sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible film series brings Ethan Hunt back promising more raucous, action-packed fun.

  1. Aquaman
Aquaman is a fictional DC Comics superhero brought to life in this film where Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.

  1. Ready Player One
When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges OASIS users to find his Easter egg, which will give the finder his fortune in an exciting new science fiction adventure directed by Steven Spielberg.

  1. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
The second installment of the 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' series which follows the adventures of Newt Scamander should bring more amazing adventures in JK Rowlings magical universe.

  1. Incredibles 2
Expect more great fun for the kids when Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for Jack-Jack while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.
