1. Open a blank SMS
2. Type DL [space] ID number (E.g. DL 123456789)
3. Send to 22846

Easy peasy. You will immediately get a response text with the following details: Name, National ID, License Expiry Date, License Class, License Status (Valid or Invalid). The service cost is Ksh 10.An important reminder, the NTSA (National Transport and Safety Authority) have mandated that you must carry your license at all times when driving. Also the verification message you get is not a substitute for the driving license and if you find yourself without one then you will be fined Ksh 1000.
