The Return of Lucas is a collaborative project by Peru's America Television and Argentina's Telefe. The show is from 2016, starring Pablo Martinez, Macarena Achaga and Ana Maria Orozco.The return of Lucas follows the story of the Diaz Ayala family. They end up losing their eldest son, Lucas when he is 4 years old. Elena, his mother, refuses to give up and is obsessed with finding him because she feels her son is still alive. Her relentless search however causes her to neglect her other children, Catalina and Juan, as well as her husband, Reynaldo.20 years later, a private detective brings a photo of Lucas to Elena. This helps renew Elena's hopes of finding her son and she is rewarded when a young man shows up at the house of the Diaz Ayala family, claiming to be Lucas. Elena is overjoyed to have her son back but after the excitement settles, doubts about the young man's identity begin to set in.
