This trend has taken over the fashion scene globally and is seen on tops, jumpsuits and dresses. The style is simple but effortlessly elegant when matched appropriately with strappy heels and tight-fitting jeans. Kenyan celebrities such as Dela have been seen to rock kitenge off-shoulder tops during their live performances.

The most common version of these in Kenya, amongst the youth, is the African print dungarees. The bold colors are worn during various events such as BBQ Live, Blankets and Wine and even at the Flea Market which happens at K1. There are two main types, the loose fit with wide legs and the slim fit type.

Who would have ever thought this trend, that was common among English ladies, would make a comeback? The corset is sold in mainly online stores in Kenya and we have seen famous Kenyan fashion bloggers such as Nancie Mwai, rocking it with her various outfits. It is usually worn on top of tops or even coats, depending on how edgy you want to look.
