‘Atenshan!’ Blinky Bill releases New Video as Countdown to Afropunk Joburg Intensifies

The countdown to Afropunk Joburg  intensifies and our very own Blinky Bill will be the only Kenyan artist performing just  dropped a new music video for his hit single dubbed ‘Atenshan’ just weeks to his anticipated performance in Joburg.

Blinky Bill will perform Atenshan  to thousands of fans at Afropunk on December 30th . The festival attracts fans from all over the world every year. It celebrates music, art, film and fashion by black artists.  .

The festival has been running in South Africa since 2017, and has become one of the biggest entries on the continent’s music and social events calendar.

It started out in Brooklyn and has expanded around the world to five cities: Paris, Johannesburg, London and Atlanta; all within the last five years. Additional cities are on the horizon in 2020 with Nairobi poised to be East Africa’s choice.

U.S. singers Solange Knowles, Miguel and Masego will be headlining the festival this year.

Blinky Bill’s music is a mix of futuristic African beats meets, funk, hip-hop, pop, electronica and hints of jazz. He released his first solo album, ‘Everyone’s Just Winging It And Other Fly Tales’, at the end of 2018.
