After We Collided: A Surprise Hit

After We Collided is a romantic drama based on the 2014 new adult fiction novel of the same name and is the sequel to After (2019). It's success has been hailed as "extraordinary" because no one saw it coming. Ticket sales in the UK rival those of Tenet and it is expected to perform pretty well in the US upon its release on October 23rd.All this has happened in the face of minimal film critique attention - and what little does exist has been almost uniformly negative. But numbers don't lie. The ticket sales are an indication that the target audience love it!What makes After We Collided such a big deal is that it all started as fan-fiction on Wattpad based on the romantic life of One Direction singer Harry Styles. The story follows the up-and-down relationship of college students Tessa (played by Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). As the film title suggests, it focuses on their attempts to rekindle "after they collided".
