The film industry took a hit in 2020 with the pandemic forcing cinemas to close and studios had to hold back some of their biggest films. Things are starting to look up in 2021 as theaters are open and lovers of the big screen are trooping to the theater to enjoy a flick or two.
Here are some of the most anticipated movies you should watch out for in 2021 (Not Ranked).
Morbius
Marvel fans will love this one! The superhero film is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Jared Leto is joining the Marvel universe and will play Michael Morbius, the biochemist who makes a grave error mid-experiment, accidentally injecting himself with blood and giving himself a form of vampirism.

No Time to Die 
No Time to Die is a forthcoming spy film and the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond film series. For the first time in history, agent 007 will be played by a woman. A black woman at that! It promises to be an explosive end to Daniel Craig's incredible tenure as Bond who will be retiring in this film and handing over the reins of spy number 007 to his female successor. 
The release date for this movie was changed thrice in 2020 bringing much grief to fans but it's here at last!

Black Widow
Another treat for Marvel fans. Black widow might have died in Avengers Endgame but her first stand-alone film takes us back in time. It  follows Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) who returns home after the events of Captain America: Civil War, only to deal with the fallout she left behind.

Fast & Furious 9 
It seems the creators of this film franchise won't be running out of gas any time soon. Now on it's 9th installment, Fast & Furious 9 promises the usual car racing and blowing up of things. Fans aren't complaining and will be eagerly waiting to watch it on the big screen after it's postponement in 2020.

Top Gun: Maverick
Tom Cruise reprises his role in the sequel to the 1986 action drama. From the trailer, he still takes charge of the cockpit as confidently as he did 34 years ago. Top gun promises intense action and an adventure like no other.

Space Jam: A New Legacy
If you loved Space Jam as a kid in the 90s, get ready for the sequel coming to a cinema near you after 25 years! In this live action/animated film, NBA superstar LeBron James teams up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes to play ball. Expect lots of giggles.

The Suicide Squad (Suicide Squad 2)
DC universe fans are in for a treat with a reboot (not sequel) of the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Jared Leto who starred as the Joker in the film 5 years ago is conspicuously missing from the reboot. Suicide squad 2021 has had 5 years of getting the script right so let's see what it has to offer.

Dune
Based on one of the most famous sci-fi novels of all time, Dune will bring the book into a new light with a major film adaptation. Some film insiders claim it'll be bigger than Star Wars! It will also be released on streaming platforms but it's best to enjoy all the CGI glory on the big screen.

Seems like 2021 will be a busy year for Tom Cruise. Two blockbuster movies expected from him with Mission Impossible now on It's 7th Installment, Cruise is expected to top some of his most insane stunts as his character faces off against a notoriously dangerous villain.

Keanu Reeves will be reprising his role as Neo in the fourth installation of this beloved sci-fi film. Details are a bit sketchy about the plot and a trailer hasn't been released yet. But the stellar cast promises it will be worth it.
