A Visit to Amani Ya Juu

We meet outside KMS office at 9.30am and depart at 9.45am. Located on Ring Road in Riverside, near Prime Bank, Amani ya juu means “Higher peace” in Swahili. It is a fair trade sewing and economic development program for marginalized women in Africa. Amani’s wide selection of high-quality handbags, home & kitchen decor, jewelry, and children’s items are made out of local African materials.

Participants will be taken for a guided tour of their six workshops and get a chance to purchase some of the products made by the women.

The tour is expected to end at 12 pm and participants can then have lunch or coffee at the cafeteria set on the garden (optional, not included on the price below).

Ample parking space available.

There are only 30 spaces for this trip, so please sign up & make the payments as soon as possible.
