After being closed for over a year, creatives have reason to celebrate as the Goethe-Institut Nairobi reopens its doors, complete with a modern new look and updated facilities. The new and improved cultural and arts space now includes a revamped library, a contemporary auditorium, and a versatile multipurpose terrace.
To mark the occasion, the Goethe-Institut Nairobi is hosting a vibrant 3-day reopening event from February 17-19, featuring a range of showcases from emerging and established artists.
The event promises to be a highlight on the arts calendar, with a variety of exciting projects on display, including the VR project, The Heritage Museum, a Vinyl Exhibition by renowned music producer Jojo Records, and a new film by Just A Band called Echo.
Alongside these exhibitions, attendees can also take part in workshops, children's readings, presentations, exhibitions, a fashion pop-up, dance performances, film screenings, concerts, and a music showcase, among other fun activities. The event is open to the public, and further details can be found on the Goethe-Institut's official website.
