Where to Listen to Live Music in Nairobi

Acoustic nights, just like open mics, are a staple of live music. If you’re after live music in Nairobi, there are plenty of music pubs and gig venues worth checking out. Here are some of our favourites:

Geco Cafe

Geco Cafe along Mbaazi avenue hosts wildly popular Acoustic Thursdays with some of Nairobi’s greatest bands playing live music and also doing amazing covers.

K1 Klubhouse

K1 along Ojijo Road Parklands has The Untamed Band play live music every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dolce Club Nairobi 

Country music enthusiasts can listen to Sir Elvis play at Dolce Club on Koinange Street every Friday from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m

Kitisuru Manor

MC Sharon & The Zionites perform at Kitisuru Manor every Friday from 2PM till late. Experience the Greenhouse Pull up in a serene ambience. Entry Free.

Pots & Kettles

If you love Rhumba, Pots & Kettles along Hendred Road in Lavington serves up the best of Rhumba acts from all over the country every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Alliance Française

Every last Wednesday of the month, Alliance Française hosts ShowCase Wednesday where young, upcoming acoustic artists showcase their skills. Check out their social media platforms  to find out who will be playing at the next ShowCase Wednesday.
