On The Come Up, centers on 16-year-old Bri, who wants to be a rapper. As the daughter of an underground hip-hop legend who died before going mainstream, Bri has massive shoes to fill. But it's hard for her to get her 'come up' when she's struggling with school and poverty at home.  So Bri pours her anger and frustration into her first song, which goes viral for all the wrong reasons.
