Last Saturday, the Village Market mall hosted a scary night rimmed with lots of memorable fun for their annual Halloween party.
Excited crowds jammed the entrance and after going through routine security checks, made their way to the venue. The organizers, Village Market, had done a remarkable job to separate venues; with one for kids, another for teens, and another for adults. It was a bit disappointing that the picture cut by the event promos was not fully delivered because the venue decor wasn't as spooky as I'd imagined. A few skull cut-outs and ghost sheets was as far as the decorations went.
The people attending made it a glamorous occasion though, with creatively awesome disguises, which a lot of thought and work had undoubtedly gone into. One glance and you wouldn't need to be shaken to the truth that they were dressed for the occasion, ready to get the party going. Most people seemed to prefer scary makeup and props, rather than full costumes with popular choices being devil horns, spider costumes, ghost disguises, and masks.
The kids had the most decorated area, sending great fun their way. The teens were enjoying the party mood too in their venue, but adults just chilled in the food court.
The well-organised Halloween party turned out to be a wholesome family affair. I'm definitely already looking forward to next year's edition.
