Twitter Streets: The Most Talked About Trends Today -Mar 7

1. R Kelly

Robert Kelly made his first appearance on ‘CBS this Morning’ show since accusations of his sexual involvements with underage ladies emerged early January. On the interview hosted by Gayle King, Kelly denied any accusations brought against him, terming them as ‘not true’. ‘I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f***ing life!’, Kelly added.

Kelly, who faces 10 counts of sexual misconduct, was released last month on bail but right after his interview, reports surfaced that he’d been taken back into custody for allegedly failing to pay child support amounting to US $161,000.

2. Davido

The ‘Fall’ hit maker had an epic fail at his freestyle game and fans were up in arms to mock him on social media. Davido, who is on a US media tour appeared on a show where the host requested him to do a lyric freestyle.

3. One Hundred Years of Solitude

Streaming service Netflix has announced it has bought film rights to the Gabriel García Márquez 1967 novel. It further added that the screen adaptation for ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ will be a Spanish-language series.

4. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Disney’s set to add another movie to its already packed 2019 film listing. The ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ announcement was confirmed with the release of a poster featuring one of Hollywood’s most sought actresses, Angelina Jolie. The movie’s set to hit theatres on 18th October 2019.

Football giants Manchester United knocked rivals Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League with a dramatic last minute penalty ending the game with a 3-1 win.

6. Tim Apple

US president Donald Trump got Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook’s name wrong by calling him ‘Tim Apple’ and Twitter could not that slide.
