1. Facebook Family of Apps

Social media giant Facebook has been down for some hours with its family of apps (Instagram and WhatsApp) also seemingly struggling. Users took to Twitter under #FacebookDown, #InstagramBlackout2019 to express their dissatisfaction on the services’ outage.Facebook, in a Tweet acknowledged the issue it was experiencing ruling out a ‘Distributed Denial of Service’ (DDos) by hackers.

2. Kit Harington

Game Of Throne’s very own Kit Harrington,popularly known as Jon Snow is set to host hit US TV show, Saturday Night Live (SNL) . Harrington has been booked for April 6th, a week ahead of the April 14th premiere for Game of Thrones Season 8. Actress Emma Stone is also to co-host alongside Harington with Grey’s Anatomy’s Sandra Oh hosting end of March.

3. The Carters | Glaad Awards

Entertainment’s power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z will be this year’s recipients for the prestigious Vanguard award which recognizes LGBTQ allies who’ve ‘made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people’. They join the likes of Demi Lovato and Britney Spears in being honored with the award.

4. #Empire

The Fox TV series made its mid-season debut on Wednesday and many are still wondering which direction the show will take after the Jussie Smollet drama over the past few weeks. Smollet is to have a fewer appearances on the season after reports emerged early February that the producers and writers will be changing his scripts.

5. #WorldKidneyDay

This day is commemorated annually to raise global awareness on the importance of kidneys. Preventive behaviors, risk factors, and how to live with a kidney disease including public screenings are some of the awareness activities conducted on this day.

6. Uhuru Park

A 20-year old woman by the name Rebecca Atieno has delivered a baby girl unassisted at Nairobi’s Uhuru Park. Rebecca says she had been fired from her job and couldn’t afford Kshs. 50 to pay for a rundown lodging in Muthurwa. She was found by aid workers who took her to Kenyatta hospital for checkup.
