Kenyans Express Themselves via #VoicesOfGraduates
Last Sunday, a local media house aired a feature about a student with first class honors in Actuarial Science living on the streets because of unemployment. The feature since sparked discussions online. Kenyans are addressing the unemployment issue particularly hitting young graduates in the country via the hashtag. Blogger James Mwai had this to say, "dear young people, University is for making connections, socializing and knowing life as you grow to face reality. But when you spend all your time in the library, (sic) become anti-social you will end up getting a first-class but no practical skills to face the harsh outside world."Sometimes you need to think outside the box. If you can't find your dream job, why not create it by setting up your own company? #VoicesOfGraduates

Don't tell graduates to employ themselves, they don't have capital to start their own businesses. Tell those old people aged 50 ➕ in public offices to get out and employ themselves, they got money and experience, let young graduates occupy those offices #VoicesOfGraduates

" Connections " basically is used to sanitize Corruption in Employment. Qualified graduates are not employed while unqualified are given jobs under the pretext of " you need connections " #VoicesOfGraduates

In Kenya if you want to live your dreams, you first go to school and get good grades then keep the papers and hustle like a school dropout only then i can guarantee success #voicesofgraduates
