Instagram to Run Crackdown on Photoshopped Images

Instagram is updating its policies and rolling out a new feature to flag "fake and photoshopped images". Peta Pixel reports that the social network developed an algorithm that labels specific posts as "False information", with a byline adding, "Reviewed by independent fact checkers". Instagram attributes this system to represent "a combination of feedback from our community and technology". It will be interesting to see the effect this will have on the social platform in the coming weeks.
