NTSA Claims SWVL is Operating Illegally; Seeks CEO's Prosecution
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is seeking prosecution of SWVL's CEO Mostafa Kandil. The digital-hailing shuttle company is being accused of conducting illegal operations by the transport authority. "Traditionally an operator is licensed to operate at a particular route but SWVL wants to operate in a manner that they can go anywhere", said NTSA's rep. In his defense, Kandil said that the arrest was based on the operating status of the company's partners and not SWVL. We will keep you updated on new developments."Traditionally an operator is licensed to operate at a particular route but Swvl wants to operate in a manner that they can go anywhere," said NTSA's Licensing Manager Jackson Mutua...@ntsa_kenya its 2020 but we still want to use traditional methods eeh? https://t.co/vt1S3t6WMu

Citi Hoppa, City Shuttle, Double M are licensed to operate several routes in the city, what makes it a crime for SWVL to do same?
