'Robocop' Prequel Series in Development

A Robocop prequel TV series is in the works with "all the cool stuff about Robocop except no Robocop", announced the film's original writer Ed Neumeier. In an exclusive with Movie Hole on Wednesday, Neumeier said that he was "working with these two writers, Dave Parkin and Rob Gibbs, who bought this idea to a TV producer friend of mine, who then brought it to me", adding he "knew it was a cool idea".
On what the series will be about, he says, "There's the idea of doing things about business and law enforcement in the city of Detroit a minute-and-a-half in the future, it would be a way to do all sorts of stories about business and tech, Silicon Valley, corporations, snakes in suits, cops, all that. It's a wonderful rich tapestry". Neumeier and co-writer Michael Miner will also oversee the creation of "Robocop Returns", a sequel to "Robocop", starring Joel Kinnaman
"Robocop", a 1987 sci-fi film, centered around the dystopic and crime-ridden Detroit, which sees the rise of a terminally wounded cop who returns to the force as a powerful cyborg haunted by submerged memories.

Singer Willy Paul Rants Amid New Revelations Affecting the Music Business

Willy Paul, alias Pozze, is not new to controversy and frequent rants. On Thursday, the "Kamati Ya Roho Chafu" crooner took to Instagram to lash out at Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) over funds misappropriation.
"We use a lot of money in our projects and you steal from us", said Paul in an Instagram video whose caption partly read, "It's so sad that the government has failed to help the artists! We're being stolen from by the old men in MCSK and the rest! We don't work for you!!"
The rant comes in the wake of a new audit conducted between 2017 and 2019 whose results revealed bed-ridden inefficacies within Kenyan Collective Management Organizations (CMOs). Made up of Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK), the Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) and Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP), diversion of royalties, poor corporate governance structures, suspected fraudulent transactions, poor record-keeping and the existence of ghost or duplicate members are some of the uncovered issues, that resulted in Kenyan artists not getting their hard work's worth during this period.
