Black Adam, Dune, The Batman & More Movies Pushed Back
On Monday, Warner Bros announced that it will be pushing back release dates of The Batman, The Matrix and Dune movies. Robert Pattinson's The Batman will now hit theatres March 4, 2022, from its original October 1, 2021 date. The announcement comes after the film halted production for the second time on September 3rd following Pattinson testing positive for coronavirus - it resumed a fortnight later.Denis Villeneuve-directed flick, Dune, has also been delayed and will now open on October 1,2021 - from its original December 18,2020 theatrical premiere date. The Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya led sci-fi remake's delay has been attributed to the lack of competition from other major films by rival studios, as they also shifted their release dates last month.DC-wise, Ezra Miller's The Flash is leaving its June 3, 2022 slot to November 4, 2022 as Shazam! Fury of the Gods finds a new date eight months away from November 4, 2022 to June 2, 2023. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam has also vacated its December 22, 2021 release date and is now TBD.The push backs also follow recent developments that movie theaters, Cineworld and Regal Cinemas, were shutting down in the US and UK due to the coronavirus pandemic.Warner Bros. shifts DC movie release dates
