Tensions Escalate Between Colman, Thatcher on 'The Crown' S4
Netflix has just released the official trailer for the fourth installment of "The Crown". The hit drama series picks up in the late 1970s, as Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession. This, they do by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O'Connor), who is still unmarried at 30.The official synopsis reads: As the nation begins to feel the impact of divisive policies introduced by Britain's first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), tensions arise between her and the Queen which only grow worse as Thatcher leads the country into the Falklands War, generating conflict within the Commonwealth. While Charles' romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, behind closed doors, the Royal family is becoming increasingly divided.On the hostility between the Queen and Thatcher, showrunner Peter Morgan says that the two are "very similar women, born only months apart". "They are very much defined by the Second World War, by a sense of frugality, hard work, commitment, Christianity and so much more. It was a commonly held piece of wisdom that the Queen and Thatcher didn't get on. I think there was probably a lot of respect. But they also had many differences, it was really fun exploring their differences and their similarities. I also get a chance to explore them both as mothers. Writing Thatcher and the Queen as mothers was probably an angle that no one has explored before. It yielded one of my favorite episodes in the season", he concluded.In July, Netflix renewed the series for a fourth, fifth and sixth (final) installment. Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have officially tied the knot. According to a tweet from a US-based charity organization, Meals on Wheels, the couple said "I do" last weekend "in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones"."We're thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend!", read the tweet. 'The Bee Gees' Docu Trailer Released
HBO has released a special documentary trailer on sensational music group, The Bee Gees, whose rise to fame began in the 1960s. Titled "The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", the film by Frank Marshall is an intimate exploration of the Gibb brothers' story - Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb.Featuring revealing interviews with oldest brother Barry and archival interviews with the late twin brothers Robin and Maurice, it focuses on a wealth of never-before-seen archival footage of recording sessions, concert performances, television appearances, and home videos, as well as interviews with musicians Eric Clapton, Noel Gallagher, Nick Jonas, Chris Martin, Justin Timberlake, music producer Mark Ronson, singer Lulu, record company executive Bill Oakes, among others.The story takes us from their childhood in 1950s Australia to the artistic crucible of 1960s London and to the sundrenched coast of Miami, Florida.
