Sage's 'Rude' Tweep Reply Drags King Kaka's Name in the Mix
Sage is the latest Kenyan celebrity to face the culture axe by Kenyans on Twitter, following what the latter termed as "a rude reply" to a fan. The debate began when a tweep, @16th_AvenueKe, inquired on where she went -intimating that she has been MIA from the music scene, "Where is Sage Chemutai @Chemutaisage? I really miss her songs", as they added several trending hashtags (at the time) along with the tweet. However, Sage did not take this kindly, hitting back and accusing the fan of clout chasing, "If you have access to internet to tweet then you most definitely have the internet to check out my SoundCloud, YouTube & Deezer, there's so much music there. But clout cannot chase itself so happy clout chasing day, 16th Avenue KE."Most netizens did not see any wrong to warrant that demeanor of reply and ended up calling her out on it. Speculations indicate that Sage must have been agitated by one of the hashtags, as another tweep pointed out, "Lmao ...one hashtag just one spoilt it, that account brought it to him/herself". The hashtag in question is believed to be #HBDKingKaka, which topped trends in celebration of rapper King Kaka's 33rd birthday - King Kaka and Sage share a six-year-old daughter, Ayanna after a brief love nest.Sage has since made it clear that the tweet was out of malice, citing "a private matter brought here in the guise of sly tweets".Lmao ...one hashtag just one spoilt it, that account brought it to him/herself https://t.co/HaiKvk2ibl

"Thanks, I am doing fine, will be more out there after COVID in meanwhile you can check my SoundCloud, YouTube and Deezer. Cheers and have a good day"
But what do I know, fuck him! He is just a fan! They're the worst!! pic.twitter.com/DTyr673q4O— Chris-Leo (@Ngaruthi) May 7, 2020
You will be surprised how those hashtags will ensure people see that tweet.. The guy wasn't directing the question to Sage herself, he didn't put it in a direct manner to her, he wanted the masses to atleast changia & how best but using trending #tags so chill out pia ww.

I know how my quote retweet sounds.
There's context to this. It is a private matter brought here in the guise of sly tweets.I know how this starts and how it ends. Because this is not the first time. Just a different platform with a different front. Patience huisha.— Chemutai Sage (@Chemutaisage) May 7, 2020
