Lynda Nyangweso Quits Kiss FM

Lynda Nyangweso has announced her exit on Kiss FM. The radio host wrote a lengthy Instagram post which partly read, “This chapter in my life has brought people in my life that have become like a second family. however, this week will be the last one I get to laugh and get weird with you on Kiss FM and I am excited”.

Lynda has been at the station for 11 years, starting out on Kiss FM’s “graveyard shift where I had room to mess up, try again, rinse then repeat, then I moved to midmorning and I was so proud of the work I did. From there I moved onto the breakfast show which was an amazing learning curve”.

“Can’t wait to see you on the other side. thank you for the opportunity to entertain you,” she concluded.

Lynda calls it quits after her former co-host, Nick Ndeda, left and ex-colleagues at Radio Africa, Shaffie Weru, DJ Joe Mfalme and Neville Musya were shown the door.

Uber Kenya Waives Cancellation Fee Policy

In a statement to users via email on Monday, the ride hailing app wrote, “we are always monitoring rider experience, market dynamics and fare structures to ensure our app continues to be a reliable and affordable option for you. With this in mind, we have removed all trip cancellation fees.”

The new policy had been implemented across all Uber products in Nairobi and Mombasa as at the time of the announcement.

The Tomorrow War Teaser Revealed

Amazon Prime Video has released the official teaser for their upcoming flick, The Tomorrow War. Directed by Chris McKay, the film sees a world stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message.

Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

The Tomorrow War premieres on the streaming platform July 2nd. Check out the trailer below.
