HBO Max, Discovery+ to Combine into a Mega Streaming Service
Warner Bros.’ HBO Max and Discovery Plus have announced a combined mega streaming service following a merger that is soon to be complete.
According to experts, the move will “ultimately make it much more compelling for the consumer and make it a true competitor to Netflix’s breadth and depth of content”.
“Close to 100 million people are going to be affected as we make those changes,” said Discovery’s CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels in a conference meeting on Monday.
Subscription cost implications to the consumers are still unknown.
