Fluctuating Twitter Followers? Here's Why
Last week, the micro-blogging platform acknowledged that "you may notice some follower count fluctuations from time to time." As a result of this, accounts that have been requested to confirm their passwords or phone numbers are not included in follower counts until they have confirmed that information.Twitter further emphasized on the importance of the process to help prevent commercially-motivated spam, inauthentic engagements that attempt to make accounts or content appear more popular or active than they are, and to keep all user accounts secure.It remains unclear on how long the "clean up exercise" will take.You may notice some follower count fluctuations from time to time.
