Atwoli's Signage Vandalized Again; Netizens React
The Francis Atwoli signage in Kileleshwa has been vandalized by unknown individuals for the second time in a row. Images making rounds on social media show the signage was lit either last night or the early this morning. In a statement, the COTU boss said that "bringing down an honorary road signage under my name does not hurt me. On the flip side, it will haunt, for life, those who are behind it. For how does it benefit them? How do you sleep at night knowing you are a vandal?"The signage, formerly Dik Dik road, was renamed in May by Deputy Governor Anne Kananu in honor of Atwoli's years of service to the Kenyan labour force. However, this has caused online outrage time and again resulting in vandalization.A short story, in honour of Francis Atwoli's 4th re-election as a Member of @ilo's Governing Body??? pic.twitter.com/5xmiew6v7O
