Commemorating Late Kobe Bryant
Last Tuesday (Jan. 26) marked one year since the untimely death of Kobe Bryant. The retired NBA star passed on alongside his daughter, Gianna Bryant and seven others in a chopper crash. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's wife, marked the anniversary with a written post on Instagram, "I miss my baby girl and Kob-Kob so much. I will never understand why/how this tragedy could've happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings ... Kob, we did it right. Gigi, you still make mommy proud. I love you!"The sports world also remembered the legend. Renowned Lakers star, Magic Johnson, tweeted, "Kobe will always be my (Lakers) brother for life.""Remembering Kobe & Gianna Bryant and all those who tragically lost their lives one year ago today," tweeted the NFL alongside a photo of Kobe, Gianna and names of the seven who also lost their lives. It is reported that the fateful crash occurred in a hillside due to "extremely bad weather conditions" in the Los Angeles area causing a brush fire, moments after a distress signal was radioed.Kobe is honored in his hometown of Philadelphia ahead of Lakers-76ers ? pic.twitter.com/pGveYxvtsC

Pretty wild that Kobe and Giani died last year. The whole thing still seems surreal. It was pretty much downhill from there for 2020
