Scream 5 Dethrones Spider-Man in Theatres

More than a month after its release, Spider-Man's reign atop the global box office has been humbled to a screaming end by Scream 5.

According to reports, the Matt Bettinelli and Tyler Gillett-directed 1996 reboot debuted last weekend with $30million. Spider-Man: No Way Home earned $20 million in its fifth weekend of release.

Scream is a sequel to the original series of murders in Woodsboro. in the latest flick, a new Ghostface emerges, and Sidney Prescott must return to uncover the truth.

Netflix Increases Subscription Prices

Netflix's rep said in a statement on Friday that prices were updated to "continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options". 

According to CNN, "In the United States, the subscription price for the standard plan rose $1.50 to $15.49. The basic plan went up $1 to $9.99 and the premium plan increased $2 to $19.99"

At the moment, countries expected to be affected are the United States and Canada with the rest of the world still in limbo, including Kenya, which enjoys a free plan.

Baby Shark Surpasses 10 Billion YouTube Views

The viral children's song becomes the first video in history to surpass the 10 billion-view mark on Youtube.

In a statement to Billboard last weekend, the Pinkfong CEO Min-seok Kim said, "We are delighted to announce that our beloved Baby Shark has recorded another remarkable milestone.
