Here’s Why #DeleteSpotify is Trending

The internet is calling for the cancellation of Spotify subscriptions following controversial podcaster, Joe Rogan, COVID misinformation on the platform, severally.

In response to the backlash, Rogan said, “I’m not trying to promote misinformation, I’m not trying to be controversial. I’ve never tried to do anything with this podcast other than just talk to people and have interesting conversations.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek hanged in the balance of the issue saying, “It is important to me we don’t take on the position of being content censor while also making sure that there are rules in place and consequences for those who violate them.”

Several artists have since removed their catalogue from the platform unless action is taken.

The Joe Rogan Experience, which is exclusively hosted on the platform for a $100 million deal, was the most listened to podcast in 2021.

KOT Trolls Comedian Flaqo

On Tuesday (Feb. 1), a section of Kenyans on Twitter went on trolling spree against Flaqo for “trying to hard” with his comical skits. This comes after the popular comedian shared his latest clip that went viral.

Fans were, however, quick to point out that Twitterati are not the target audience for Flaqo’s content.

Halo Series Trailer Released

Paramount+ has released the official trailer for upcoming series Halo.

Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo weaves deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.
