KFC Temporarily Suspends 'Finger Lickin' Catchphrase
KFC is dropping its "finger lickin'" slogan amid the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement bearing the headline, "And the winner of the award for the most inappropriate slogan for 2020 goes to...KFC", the fast food chain said that the "iconic slogan doesn't quite fit in the current environment".Catherine Tan-Gillespien, Global Chief Marketing Officer at KFC, further reassured customers that the "food craved by so many people around the world isn't changing one bit". "Finger lickin'", which has been behind the brand for 64 years, will be blurred out in new advertising materials.#KFC changing their slogan "Finger Lickin' Good" because of COVID-19.
