OnlyFans Bans Pornographic Content
OnlyFans has announced that it will ban "the posting of any content containing sexually-explicit conduct," starting October, 2021. UPDATE (Aug. 26) : OnlyFans Reverses Pornography Ban Plans"In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines," said the company in a statement on Thursday. The platform has, however, said users can keep sharing nude images and videos "as long as it is consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy."Keen on attracting investors with a valuation of $1 billion, OnlyFans is making these changes "to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers," according to Variety.OnlyFans, which has 130 million users, earns over $2 billion in revenue of which 80% is shared across its 1.5 million creators.Wait.. So Onlyfans is allegedly getting rid of sex workers so investors can have a 'safe investment' in a website that nobody will use anymore.
