Murugi Munyi Tests Positive for COVID-19

“By now you’ve probably figured out that I have COVID,” the influencer-cum-YouTuber revealed on Sunday in a series of Instagram stories. “I thank the Lord that my entire family and all my contacts, who I was with last week, have all tested negative. Currently, I’m isolating and will be in my room probably for the next two weeks”.

On her health status, the TMI podcaster said that while she was not feeling horrific, she could neither smell nor taste anything. “Like my first love, food, is being taken away from me and now I just have to eat to stay alive –aargh, that sucks!”

True to her bubbly character, Murugi cracked a joke, “It’s pretty great to take a sh*** and not be able to smell it. That’s my family’s problem now. Not mine,” and signed off with “#silverlining”.

Quick recovery, Murugi! ❤️

Frankie Just Gym It Addresses Viral Marketing Gimmick

Frankie Kiarie, alias Frankie Just Gym It, was the talk of town this past weekend following his latest marketing gimmick. On Saturday, the fitness instructor shared a snap holding a placard in the middle of the road which read, “Look at your stomach. Are you happy?”.

While many were impressed, a section of irked netizens accused him of body shaming. Frankie addressed the situation on Sunday afternoon saying that the post was misinterpreted. “I totally understand your sentiments, however, I think this whole thing has been blown out of proportion. I think I should have elaborated my statement,” he wrote.

“My aim is to spread awareness on fitness, nutrition and above all, health, especially within the youth. Preventive measures trump curative measures.”

Gov. Alfred Mutua and Wife Lilian Ng’ang’a Call It Quits

On Sunday, the couple revealed on their individual social media pages that they separated two months ago. “Winds of change blew my way and two months ago, I decided to end my long term relationship with Dr. Alfred Mutua,” wrote Ng’ang’a in her statement, adding that they would “remain friends”.

The Machakos County Governor, in a lengthy statement, said that Ng’ang’a would be his “close advisor” even as he runs for president. “She has always been my number one fan”.

Mutua and Ng’ang’a, who have been married for five years, failed to give reason as to the what led to the decision of separation.
