Twitterati Outs Blogger Pauline Njoroge On Lucrative Appointment Over Past Controversial Post
Pauline Njoroge made headlines for the better part of the weekend after losing a lucrative appointment over a past discouraging post. The blogger was appointed as a board member on the Tourism Regulatory Authority through a Gazette Notice on Friday. Her tenure, however, lasted less than three days following public outcry over remarks on the Nairobi National Park, which she termed "economically redundant".Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala caught wind of the Facebook post and revoked her appointment saying, "We do not want to be associated with such people and such thinking". "We regret we did not know what she had said in the past. We want to take this opportunity to thank Kenyans on social media for highlighting what we had missed during our background check on her", Balala added. Njoroge has since been replaced with journalist Najma Ismail.Something to remember: The internet never forgetsTwitter DCI is overworking. #paulinenjoroge pic.twitter.com/iBDM8EOpZR

This is just sad. Denying #PaulineNjoroge a chance to serve Kenyans based on what she said a few months ago is UNACCEPTABLE. People have opinions on diverse issues and people should be allowed to change their minds. This is just making decisions based on emotions pic.twitter.com/mtUulJdeSf

#paulinenjoroge had no passion at all when it comes to conservation , revocation was a good therapy pic.twitter.com/EbSJ0Or3Jh
