YouTuber James Charles Cancelled for Promoting 'Mugshot Challenge'

Controversy is not a new term to James Charles as he is now making headlines for promoting an "insensitive" challenge. The YouTuber and beauty influencer shared his latest make up look with fake bruises and a bloody nose, giving rise to the "Mugshot Challenge" on Tiktok. The internet shortly called out the 20-year-old star claiming that he undermined the veracity of physical abuse in society. Charles has since deleted the post but refused to apologize because "other artists and influencers have done something similar".

Trashing Njahi? Kenyans on Twitter Debate

A new debate looms, whether the traditional Kikuyu "Njahi" (black beans) meal is a delicacy. The light-hearted tweef began when @miss_nyaruai, a Twitter user jokingly said, "If 2020 was a Kenyan dish, it would be Njahi". Another user, @waweruian9 supported the tweet adding, "Njahi ata ueke a million spices it will taste like regrets and failed dreams" [Even if you spice up Njahi, it will taste like regrets and failed dreams]. Commemorating World Health Day

Today is World Health Day. It is a campaign which celebrates "the work of nurses and midwives and remind world leaders of the critical role they play in keeping the world healthy", this according to WHO. The organization adds that its aim for this year is highlighting the current status of nursing around the world, by making a series of recommendations to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce.
