The latest fad to enter the Nairobi dining scene is the cloud kitchen, a new innovation that aims to be pandemic-proof. Cloud kitchens (or ghost kitchens) are typically a collective of restaurants or independent food vendors, housed in large warehouses, or homes or even hotels with idle kitchen capacity. Here, chefs can prepare food in a way that’s meant solely for delivery and carryout. Cloud Kitchens offer a unique way to both cut costs and provide customers with fast, reliable, and safe delivery services.
