Traders of Africa (TOFA) an online marketplace for trading of goods and services originating from Africa recently launched in Kenya. The company founded in June 2017 by former banker Mrs. Uju Uzo-Ojinnaka, is Africa's answer to China's Alibaba and America's Amazon.
The platform has already engaged 8,000 merchants from Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana and Nigeria. Kenyan traders can now begin selling on the website www.tradersofafrica.com and engage other African businesses. Trading was officially launched on September 1st.
The African Economic Outlook 2017 shows that trade between African countries has the greatest potential for building sustainable economic development and integration. Trade amongst African countries expanded from 10% to 16% between 2000 and 2014, reflecting the continent’s recent economic upturns.
TOFA aims at promoting inter-African trade and hopes to reach all 54 African countries on board in order to boost trade and commerce in the continent. Seeing that most Africans prefer importing from the West, this platform is providing a great way of connecting African people and getting them to appreciate African made goods.
Be part of the great change happening in Africa and help boost the African market value.
