"The Arrival of a Train" was one of the first films ever screened. The train moving directly towards

the camera was said to have terrified spectators, causing a stampede.

On your typical movie day, whether on a week day or weekend, you walk into the cinema with your one hand clutching a large bowl of popcorn, the other one probably your smart phone. The phone needs to be within sight for selfies, yeah?
You let your eyes rove through the ascending elegant cinema seats, trying to make where yours is, as indicated on your ticket.
And once you have it in sight, a smile flexes the edges of your lips, and you walk to it. Ensconced, you pull out your cinema glasses which were probably tucked under the top button of your shirt, or somewhere in your purse, or well; you walked in wearing them. Let the movie begin!
But do you know how the cinema setting started years back? If you appreciate some history, straighten up, here's something cool. If you don't, I need you to trust me and lend me your attention for just a few. I promise it won't be dreary.
On December 28th 1895 in Paris, the screening of short films by the Lumière brothers is said to be the key which twisted in the cinema lock and opened doors to a world of cinematographic motion pictures. After the screening turned out impressively successful, dozens of film production companies sprouted.
Moreover, earliest films came with a black and white touch, lacking recorded sound. Not only that, but also the film would be over as soon as it started, with less than a minute on the screen.
The next time you go to catch an amazing movie at the cinema, at least you'll have it at the back of your mind that we've come from far.
Here are hot movies to catch this weekend, and tickets are available at KenyaBuzz: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald starring Johnny Depp and Widows, starring Viola Davis.
