Kenyan Short Nominated for Los Angeles Film Awards

A new short film set in the matatu industry has been nominated in the Best New Los Angeles Film Makers Awards (BFML). The annual awards ceremony honours innovative and emerging filmmakers from around the world.
The film's titular character, Shoto, is a matatu driver plying the Umoja - town route and his story highlights the varied aspects of Nairobi's matatu culture as he works towards his dream of owning a bus.
Shoto is one of the projects from an annual four-week film making training called Stories Found sponsored by the US Embassy for Kenyan filmmakers.
Shoto's concept, direction, script and production is the brainchild of Juma Adero, Gloriah Amondi,  Firul Maithya, Arnold Mvoi, Vanessa Njora, and Florence Nyokabi.

ITECH Media Production dropped the trailer for their upcoming drama series, Temptation. The story depicts the messy power struggles of affluent individuals in business and religion.
