As we gear up to celebrate Day of the African Child, we highlight the amazing work SKY Girls KE is doing to empower young Kenyan girls. SKY is a sisterhood of teen girls from across Kenya whose mission is to encourage young girls to be  "True to themselves and what they believe in".
In a country that tells young girls to shrink themselves and conform to societal standards in order to fit in, SKY wants to amplify the voices of teen girls aged 13-17 and give them wings to reach the skies.
SKY offers girls opportunities to explore new interests and discover their own talents. Their flagship program S.I.S.T.A, (which stands for Sky Is Staying True Always) is a weekly YouTube show for girls that explores issues like self-esteem, education and career aspirations, health, fashion and relationships.
Hosted by young ladies Claris, Vivian and Joan, S.I.S.T.A is a fun, interactive show that often brings in some really cool young women that Kenyan girls look up to. Watch Here
